Terms & Conditions on travel
Glaciertour AS wishes to make travelers aware of the rights and obligations that apply between Glaciertour AS and travelers. This is done through these conditions, which travelers should read carefully.
1. Travellers from other countries than Norway
Glaciertour AS emphasizes that travelers from countries other than Norway must themselves address any relevant conditions such as passport validity, visas, vaccinations, and any insurance that is required.
2. Scope of conditions
The conditions apply to excursions booked and paid for via the Internet. Separate conditions apply to persons travelling as part of a group. Conditions for partners / sales agents are regulated in the agent's agreement with us. Please note that tourist information and our customer center do sell tickets until departure. If there are exceptions, such information is given at the actual product page.
3. The travel document
The travel document you receive when you make the booking serves as your ticket (digitally/ printed) for the excursion and you must carry this with you throughout the excursion for verification purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that you have your travel documents with you and for checking that the ticket corresponds to your booking.
4. Change of price
Glaciertour AS reserves the right to alter prices and accepts no liability with respect to printing errors in the text, images, and links on our website. We reserve the right to make changes as necessary after any catalogues or brochures have been printed, such as changes to prices and terms and conditions, changes to the excursion route as a result of unforeseen circumstances and inaccurate information due to printing errors, etc. Changes resulting from the aforementioned circumstances will be announced via enclosures / offprints and / or other appropriate communication channels.
5. Complaints
Any claims must be made as quickly as possible by e-mailing booking@glaciertour.no. Complaints must generally be submitted no more than one month after returning home unless special circumstances render it reasonable to extend the complaint deadline. It is emphasized that any comments made on questionnaire forms that are submitted will not be recorded or interpreted as a written complaint.
6. Ticket refunds
In accordance with our conditions, ticket refunds for individual travelers are possible up to 48 hrs prior to departure and free of charge. All refunds must be requested in writing to booking@glaciertour.no. We recommend that travelers take out travel insurance with cancellation cover, and that travelers contact their insurance company in the event of cancellation due to illness. The insurance company will be responsible for paying any refund due in cases where this is applicable.
7. Cancellation policy/Force Majeure
Glaciertour may cancel a trip in the case of unforeseen circumstances over which we have no control, such as rough weather conditions, natural disasters, industrial disputes, etc. that render it difficult or inadvisable to proceed with the excursion (force majeure). Customers shall not be entitled to any refund in the event of cancellation due to force majeure. In the case that a trip has already started, but has to be cancelled due to force majeure, we will not provide any refund.
8. Unpredicted price changes
Glaciertour reserves the right to alter prices as a result of new or increased taxes and charges, exchange rate fluctuations or similar circumstances over which Glaciertour has no control or could not have foreseen. Price changes shall not be made later than 20 days prior to departure. Price increases of more than 10 % of the agreed purchase price shall entitle a customer to cancel the agreement at no cost to himself.
9. Travel guarantee
If you have ordered travel services connected to your trip or vacation from one of our partners, you will not be covered by the rights that are connected to package travel and thereby fall under the Package Travel Act and travel guarantee.
In this case Glaciertour AS is not responsible for that the services in question or other services of this character are delivered as promised. You therefore have to contact the service provider directly if any problems arise.
If you book travel services from Glaciertour within 24 hours of receiving a booking confirmation from one of our partners, this will be considered to become a part of a package travel. In these cases, as demanded by the Package Travel Act, Glaciertour AS has travel guarantee that secures a reimbursement of your payments made to Glaciertour AS in cases where the service was not delivered due to Glaciertour AS insolvency.
Note: Be aware that this does not apply to insolvencies performed by any of our partners.
