This locale, accessible solely by boat until 1986, now invites exploration on foot, offering a glimpse into a serene way of life framed by spectacular natural beauty. Here, you're presented with an option: venture through Fjærland at your own pace, discovering its quaint streets and waterfronts, or partake in a guided excursion to both the glacier and the Norwegian Glacier Museum, enriching your visit with educational insights. With two hours at your leisure, you have the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the unique charm and historical significance of this village, whether independently or through the enriching narratives of a guided tour.

The bus then returns to Fjærland quay.

Back at the pier in Fjærland, the same boat will take you back to Vik. From Vik the tour continues by bus to the spectacular Tvindefossen waterfall.
